——陈叔亮书画陈列
前 言
陈叔亮（1901—1991年），名寿颐，黄岩保全乡上陈头村人。当代著名书画家、艺术教育家。幼时已显露书画天分，立志成为书画家。1928年1月，秘密加入中国共产党。抗战时，在黄岩、温岭等地自编抗日小调，创作抗日漫画、版画，宣传抗日救亡，唤醒民众。1938年，辗转千里，奔赴革命圣地延安，以书画记录延安军民的学习、战斗和生活。新中国成立后，长期担任艺术教育领域领导，同时不废艺术创作，从诗词、国画、书法到工艺美术教育，均有成就和贡献。他的一生，体现了中国传统文化与革命人生的完美结合。
陈叔亮擅长中国画、版画、书法。草书《周总理送蓬仙诗》陈列于北京人民大会堂；速写《西行漫画》获毛泽东主席的赞许与题词；所著《窗花》一书，是最早研究中国剪纸艺术的专著。
1994年11月，陈叔亮夫人肖远向家乡黄岩捐赠家中的所有陈叔亮藏品，包括书画作品、印章、图书和名家书信等。当月，在九峰公园内建成的陈叔亮书画馆开馆，这是台州地区第一个当代书画艺术家的专题陈列馆，影响甚大。2016年，陈叔亮书画馆迁入黄岩博物馆新馆，在馆内专辟《铁骨丹青——陈叔亮书画陈列》以饷观众。

Preface
Chen Shuliang (1901-1991), with the literary name of Shouyi, was born in Shangchentou Village, Baoquan Township in Huangyan. As a contemporary well-known painter and art educator, he has revealed his talent in painting and calligraphy since childhood and determined to become a painter and calligrapher. He secretly joined the Communist Party of China in January 1928. During the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he contributed himself to national salvation and the awakening of people by composing songs, drawing comics and prints in Huangyan and Wenling. In 1938, he went to Yan’an, a sacred revolutionary place after travelling thousands of miles, and made a vivid record of the study, fighting and life of the soldiers and civilians there. After the founding of new China, apart from being a leader in art education, he made contributions to and achievements in poetry, Chinese paintings, calligraphy, handicraft and art education. Therefore, he is a perfect combination of traditional culture and revolutionary life.
Chen Shuliang specialized in Chinese painting, printmaking and calligraphy. His calligraphy “The Poem Sent to Pengxian by Premier Zhou Enlai” is on display in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing; his sketch “Westbound Comics” was praised and inscribed by Chairman Mao Zedong; his Paper Cuts for Window Decoration was the first monograph on the studies of Chinese paper cuts arts.
In November 1994, all the collections of Chen Shuliang, including paintings and calligraphy works, seals, books and the letters of famous figures, were donated to his hometown Huangyan by his wife Xiao Yuan and exhibited in Chen Shuliang Painting and Calligraphy Museum in the Jiufeng Park, which was the first devoted to a contemporary painter and calligrapher in Taizhou area, exerting a great influence. In2016, the Museum was integrated into “Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy”, Exhibition on Chen Shuliang’s Works of Art in the new Huangyan Museum.
